Why I am available for hire

Update from January 2026

I forgot to update here a while back. I am not available for hire anymore, and haven’t been for quite some time now. This business model taught me a lot about some of the most difficult parts of doing business. Distribution and clear communication especially. The thing is, making one-off solutions for people is difficult because many times, they have no idea what they really want. They just know a few things, such as if it’s not exactly right, or if it’s missing something they think they want. As the developer in this case, it’s also necessary to convert rough requirements into reality without any technical terms.

Instead of making one-off solutions, I started a platform a few months ago. Now, clients can self-serve, and if they are missing something, I can deploy a clean testable feature that other clients can use.

A few weeks ago, I decided to start Launch with Lee. So far, I have worked with a few local businesses to find ways they can better leverage the technology that they already had set up. The main purpose behind starting the business was to learn while having an excuse to make interesting things.

More than just learning and keeping up with the cutting-edge, I started Launch with Lee to learn how to quickly deliver what is needed and what will drive immediate value. Business has no site at all? It does not need to be perfect, just get it out and advertise it while making tweaks.

With this attitude, I learned that cutting-edge isn’t really relevant. Fundamentals and adhering to “solved problems” is what helps most. A restaurant doesn’t care if you create a new ordering system from scratch, if you used a serverless architecture, or if you deploy them a common template. They usually just want more money and an easier life managing their business. Everything else is irrelevant.
